Are you a middle school or high school parent or student curious about rowing?

Our “Learn to Row” session is the perfect way for your child to dive into this incredible sport.

Every Saturday from 10:30 am to noon ET we welcome new athletes who are interested in experiencing rowing for the first time in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.

💪 Passionate rowers and coaches eager to guide you

Your child will:

  • Discover the anatomy of a rowing shell (boat)
  • Learn how to safely enter and exit the boat
  • Lock in the oars and master the rowing stroke
  • Row with a Sculler on the beautiful Florida intercostal waterway

You won’t be stuck on a rowing machine watching others row. You’ll be on the water from the start. And yes, you might even take a celebratory swim!

Where

Our boathouse is located across from the Casey Key Fish House on Casey Key in Osprey, Florida.

What to Bring:

☀️ Sunscreen, Bathing suit, shirt, Crocs or similar footwear

💧 Water bottle

🧠 A boatload of curiosity

Sarasota Scullers Learn to Row Saturdays give middle and high school students a fun, no-commitment way to experience rowing.

Sarasota Scullers strengthens our community’s youth by developing the whole rower and instilling values that bring them success on the water and throughout life.
